Why does success feel harder than it should — even when you’ve worked hard, made changes, and done everything right?
That’s not a small question.
And most high-achieving leaders never stop long enough to ask it.
After nearly a decade of helping leaders navigate burnout, career transitions, leadership challenges, finding their purpose, and major life decisions, Blake has uncovered something she couldn’t ignore: nearly every transformation she’s helped create traces back to the same root cause. Not a lack of effort or a lack of information. Something deeper, and it’s the very thing most successful people never think to examine.
In this special season finale, Blake shares the realization that’s been years in the making, why so many smart and capable leaders continue to experience the same frustrations even after changing jobs, achieving major goals, hiring coaches or taking time off…and a sneak peek into what’s coming for Season 2.

I’m your host, Blake, and I’m honored to help you create more impact with ease.
Blake (00:02.464)
Over the last year, I’ve realized something.
I’ve finally found the thread that connects nearly every transformation I’ve helped create over the last decade.
For years, I’ve helped people navigate burnout, career transitions, leadership challenges, finding their purpose, major life decisions, and those moments when success no longer feels the way they thought it would.
On the surface, those seem like very different problems.
But recently, I realized they’re often driven by the same thing.
And the more I’ve explored that idea, the more convinced I’ve become that many successful people are spending years trying to solve the wrong problem.
Not because they’re incapable.
Not because they lack discipline.
And definitely not because they need another strategy, book, podcast, coach, promotion, or productivity system.
In fact, most of the people I work with already have more information than they know what to do with.
Yet they still find themselves asking:
Why am I exhausted?
Why does everything feel harder than it should?
Why doesn’t success feel the way I thought it would?
Why do I keep ending up in the same place, even after making changes?
Over the years, I’ve watched people change jobs, start businesses, hire coaches, chase achievements, take sabbaticals, work harder, and accomplish goals they once believed would finally make everything click.
Sometimes those changes helped.
But often the same frustration eventually came back.
The same exhaustion.
The same feeling that something still wasn’t quite right.
Which raises a bigger question:
What if the thing you’re trying to fix isn’t actually the thing creating the problem?
That’s the question I’ve been exploring behind the scenes.
Not because my work is changing.
The truth is, this is the work I’ve been doing all along.
But I finally have a clearer way to explain what’s really happening beneath the surface.
A clearer way to help people understand the patterns that keep repeating.
And a clearer way to help people recognize those patterns sooner, before they spend years solving symptoms instead of root causes.
That’s what I’ve been working on.
And that’s also why I’m taking a brief pause before Season 2.
Not because we’re done.
Quite the opposite.
I’m taking a little time to rethink, refine, and rebuild what comes next.
When the podcast returns, you’ll hear a different kind of conversation.
More practical.
More diagnostic.
Less focused on generic advice and more focused on helping you understand what’s actually happening beneath the surface in your life.
We’ll explore why success feels harder than it should.
Why so many smart, capable people stay stuck longer than they need to.
Why changing jobs, working harder, or chasing the next achievement often doesn’t solve the problem.
And most importantly, how to identify the next right step without risking everything you’ve worked so hard to build.
Because the more I do this work, the more convinced I become of one thing:
Success shouldn’t cost this much.
Not your energy.
Not your health.
Not your relationships.
Not your peace of mind.
Not the life you’re working so hard to create.
So if you’ve been feeling exhausted, frustrated, disconnected, or quietly wondering whether there has to be a better way…
Stay with me.
Season 2 is coming.
And I have a feeling it’s going to be the most important work I’ve shared yet.
I’ll see you soon.

Most Successful People don’t realize they’re in burnout, because stress and exhaustion have become so normalized, but burnout is actually a sign of deeper misalignment between how you’re wired to thrive and how you’re actually working and living. Fix the misalignment and everything changes.
